Terms of Service

The service

ReviewerLens analyzes academic manuscripts you upload and produces structured feedback such as readability and reference analysis, a multi-reviewer report, citation suggestions, venue recommendations and more. By creating an account or using the service you agree to the following terms:

Your account

You sign in through our authentication provider and are responsible for activity under your account.

Credits and payments

• Reviews are paid for with credits, purchased in one-time packs through Stripe. Credits never expire and are spent one per generated review.
• A credit is only consumed when a review is successfully generated. A failed review never costs you a credit.
• Credits are tied to your account and are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Prices may change; a change never affects credits you already hold.
• Referral rewards are paid on a referred user's first purchase only. Self-referral or other attempts to game the referral program may result in forfeited credits, account termination, or other penalties.
• If something went wrong with a purchase or a review, contact us. We handle refund requests case by case and will always do our best to make it right if something unexpected happens.

Your content

Your manuscript is yours. You retain all rights to everything you upload, and you grant us only the limited license needed to process it and deliver your report. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you submit (for co-authored work, that means your co-authors are on board). How we store and protect manuscripts is covered in the Privacy Policy.

Review Content

Reviews are opinions, not guarantees:

• A report may contain errors or miss issues a human expert would catch. It complements, but cannot replace, your own judgment or your venue's actual peer review.
• Scores, recommendations, and venue fit estimates are not predictions of acceptance.
• The AI-authorship estimate is an estimate, not a guarantee. It is not proof of misconduct and should not be treated as such.
• You are responsible for how you use the output of our service, including complying with your target venue's policies on the use of external tools.

Acceptable use

Don't:

• upload content you don't have the right to share;
• attempt to break, probe, or overload the service, evade rate limits, or access another user's data;
• resell or white-label the service without our written permission;
• use the service for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can stop using the service at any time, and credits on a terminated-for-violation account are forfeited.

Availability and changes

The service is provided "as is". We work to keep it fast and available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted operation, and features may change as the product evolves.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReviewerLens is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Changes to these terms

We'll update these terms as the product grows and revise the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms; material changes will be called out clearly.
